Our Boat, the Makaira is a 44 foot Luhrs yacht equipped with all the brand fishing equipment on board. Its has all of the necessary electronics and more including GPS and VHF radio

On board there is two bedrooms, of which one os a stateroom a full kitchen and galley with microwave and TV, plus a full bathroom and shower. All of the inside is air conditioned for your comfort and there is plenty of room both inside and out to accommodate your group comfortably.
With a sofa for 3 on the fly bridge, you can travel in style and with two 66o HP caterpillar engines you can reach your destination fast and comfortably. We have all tournament rated fishing tackle aboard and which ever fish, you are looking to find that day, our experienced crew can help you catch it.
Captain - Jesus Montero : Jesus Montero grew up on the Central Pacific side of Costa Rica. He began his career as a Dive Master in the D.I.W.A (Diving Instructor World Association) and also the P.A.D.I. (Profesional Association Diving Instructors). He has logged over 800 dives open water dives. Jesus first experience on fishing boats came as a First Mate in Los Suenos Marina where he spent two years on two boats, a Spencer 60 footer and a Jim Smith 72 footer). Jesus speaks English very well and is right at home on the ocean. As captain if the Makaira, he will be scouting the good fishing spots for you, to find the best catch of the day.
First Mate - Guillermo Marchena : Guillermo Marchena grew up in Puntarenas which is a large city to the North. He had spent nearly 10 years in various commercial fisherman positions before he decided to move to the sport fishing business. He now has 12 years experience as a first mate on many boats based out of Quepos and Herradura. As first mate on the Makaira, he will be prepping the lines and outriggers, catching some live bait, and keeping a close eye on the lines, to ensure you get your catch.
